I like to describe myself as a pragmatic problems solver. I utilize all the tools and knowledge available to solve complex problems both in IT and real life. I also put huge emphasis on being people oriented or agile since I truly believe that any success whether in professional or real life relies nowadays on people relationships.

In short, NO. LinkedIn became almost a basic for every professional, the equivalent of Facebook but for professionals. Unfortunately, LinkedIn, like many centralized platforms around the world is plagued with all sort of problems and its centralized nature doesnt help at all. Recently, LinkedIn began requiring our passports and other sensitive information to use the platform. Even then, this wouldnt protect you from bans or account restrictions without explanations! The lack of transparency raises serious questions about whether or not we should depend on such organizations that could on the long-run be unpredictable and cost us both time and money! Identity verification providers generally are not immune to data breaches that would lead to data theft and other serious security concerns. While identity verification required by LinkedIn may provide some benefits of reducing fake accounts or scam, it raises a lot of questions about why I need to send my passport to a corporation just to have a page like the one you see here?! This is why, I decided to take ownership of my own data and as an engineer, I created my own website instead. I do not need a corporation to have my profile online! Before LinkedIn, this is how professionals presented themselves!

Despite the fact that I disagree strongly when companies today describe their solutions as AI, I do believe that there are many benefits of their artificial narrow intelligence solutions that can be utilized as a tool to improve productivity and make optimized decisions. A secure and well implemented solution can help enhance many services specially for clients facing organizations and even B2B!
